Meta Keywords Tag The Meta Keywords Tag used to be the one of the keys to search engine optimization. While this isn't the case anymore, the Keywords Tag is still of some importance and can be used to benefit your web site.
This, just as any other tag, must be used properly and within guidelines that the search engines make.
The keywords tag should contain words or phrases that are relevant to the content of your web site, and should stay within the guidelines of the search engines. It was mentioned briefly on the index page that some people will either put all of their keywords on each page, or will try to optimize one page for all of the keywords.
